Welcome to my Fitness Blog

Hello..... I am a man from Dallas, Texas (smile when you say that). Born and bred third generation and damn proud of it! I moved to Abu Dhabi, UAE in the Middle East on September 25, 2010 to start working on a major hospital project in downtown Abu Dhabi, the Sheikh Khalifa Medical City. Reason for this move was to have an adventure, make more money and try to pay off the debt of 3 children's education at Texas A&M... WHOOP!

I am married to Joy, the most wonderful woman in the world. Been so since 1980 that is 30 plus years. She is my love, my life, my everything. I have 3 wonderful successful children Jessica, Chelsea and Gregory.

This blog is way over due -- I was going to start it last year recording my new adventures in a new world. But I got busy and did not start until today September 1, 2011. It will be a blog to record the adventures and quirks of Abu Dhabi. Plus the blog will be a new motivation to me to get back in shape after nearly a year of sedentary life style. Saturday in Aggie land WHOOOP!
Cooked 3 eggs added some cheese.
Should have walked Jack but ...... NOT!
Starbucks get some coffee & hot water for Theraflu. Then pick up Joy from Aunt Mary's.

To campus walked around the only exercise I got.

Ate at Atami Sushi I had lettuce wrap & only one piece of sushi.

Bad day for the program but good stuff for Greg & family.

Friday again ..... I love Friday ........ don't ya!
Cooked some eggs with cheese for breakfast had some coffee of course.
Got to work having another great day. Detailing in Revit.
I/We my pod group (workstations) were doing 10 to 20 push ups every hour but the PICC line keeps me from doing any repetitive moment.
Really limits the results that I want to achieve. Oh well I should use it as an excuse uh!
Were going to College Station to visit Chelsea this afternoon. Greg, Joy & I are going to Aggie land Saturday.
So I did nothing else ate some chicken & rode to College Station.

NO exercise. bad

oh yea great day!
Ate some lettuce for breakfast was in a hurry. So weird I know a handful of lettuce and COFFEE.
Walked the stairs...basement to 3rd floor remember exercise when ever you can.

Started working on a new project at work was trained on Revit months ago. Now I am actually using the software. It is pretty cool & easy. I like it!
So I worked through lunch lost track of time.

Had to go to the doctors at 2:00 for my cyst infection thing.
Got home at 4:30 ish. Ate some rotisserie chicken for a snack. Changed clothes & went to ride my bike all the way to Winter Park Nursing Home about 5 miles one way.
My mom is doing pretty good.
check her out.



Now I have to ride all the way home ohh... got half way to Megatel Homes at Brand & Cambpell. Called Joy to come get me. I was sooo tired. WHAT A WHIMP !

Ate some delicious chicken & green peas. Wish I could have some peanut butter.

Wow check it out! Weighed in this morning. I think the project is working. What do you think?



Walked to subway at lunch about 1.5 miles round trip. Ate a salad grilled chicken got double meat. Not like home cooked.

Not that productive of a day. Had to do watch the Olympics do some bills & junk tonight.

Monday, Monday a day like any other day. I am so excited I just can't hide it! Up late went to get the PICC line checked. Had a couple of cups at the house. Sausage a slice o cheese.
Walked the stairs, good start.
Blood drive at the office today. Cannot give because of the hospital stay etc. Which is bad. I hold the record for the most blood giving at the office.
Stairs down at lunch. Went to the park to read & walk for an hour.
Had snacks for the blood givers so i snacked on cheese & meat slices NO CARBS. Oops I did eat one Ritz cracker.
Stop by see mom. Then home Joy, Jessica made steak, brussel sprouts, & mixed vegetables.
Watched Couples Retreat & walked/ran/and weights for the entire movie. Remember no right arm PICC line.

Happy Valentines day!
Pot of coffee plus 2 sausage patties with a slice of cheese between.

Sunday, made it to church Jessica & Greg late left with out them.
Headed to taco bueno after church keeping with the diet had 2 sides of chicken fajita meat on a side of lettuce with grated cheese & some pico on top ($2.87 cheap).

Headed over to Winters Park Nursing home to check on Mom. Moved her to room 407. There was a large crazy afro american evangelistic woman that was hell bent on saving my already saved Mother. She said that she was her room mate because god had called her to save her. But my Mother just needs some physical therapy & some good rest.
David & Gail came to take Mom to see Al. I told them how good I was doing with the project. He said no way that you lost that much weight since January 4th. But I have with exercise & eating right.

Got back to the house Joy was in a cleaning frenzy. So I got Greg vacuuming me dusting it quickly became an all afternoon ordeal. But whew it really needed to be done. Even scrubbed the tile floor with a cleaning stuff & a brush.

Then got dressed in some warm clothes because it is cold. Went all the way up Murphy road turned right to racetrack north to the rock road to the cemetery scary then to Kimbrough. Walked the east side then started across the track. Bam the alarm went off in the stadium scarred the heck out of me. Never happened before & I have done this many times. I ran very quickly..........I could see myself calling Joy saying guess what? Back to the house same way just backwards.

That was 1 1/2 hours of pretty hard bike riding.
Joy having left overs. I pan cooked some chicken with onions, peppers & spices. Through it on some leaves of lettuce & ate it up.

Hit the hand weights a little before bed. 4 sets of 25 about 6 different basic exercises.
